Accounts Assistant

My Client a leading FMCG Business with an international client base and are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their London head office team.

Due to a promotion in the department an Accounts Assistant position has become available. This role will report to the Financial Controller.

* Sales ledger management & credit control
* Cash management and bank reconciliations
* Purchase ledger, payment runs and supplier reconciliations
* Sales analysis and reporting
* Subsidiary accounting and intercompany reconciliations
* Maintaining the fixed asset register & depreciation
* Quarterly VAT reporting
* End of month accruals, prepayments and deferred income
* Producing first draft management accounts and related reports
* Office of National Statistics and any other official returns, as required
* Managing the burglar alarm & dealing with related issues
* Assisting and overseeing Operations Exec for finance duties
* Supporting Operations Exec on office & operations issues as required
* Reception cover as required

Skills/experience
The following are mandatory:

* Understanding of accounting journals & reconciliations
* Organised, motivated and able to self-manage
* Numerate with strong Excel skills
* High attention to detail
* Energetic with a desire to learn
* Team player, happy to get involved in all areas and help out
