Accounts Payable Clerk

KennedyPearce are recruiting a Accounts Payable role with the ability to progress within a visual communications provider business.

The post holder will assist the Accounts Payable team in the smooth operation of handling the ledger. Activities will include invoicing clients, advising the banking team on correct allocation of receipts, resolution of customer invoicing queries, assisting with collections, other general finance office administration and providing support to the purchase ledger team when required. Due to the size of our business and department there is strong potential for fast career progression.

Key activities:
 Process customer invoices, send to customers and enter details onto accounts system
 Assist with the monitoring of and review of outstanding invoices with prompt resolution of queries
 Follow up with customers, in an appropriate manner, on outstanding debt in order to improve collections
 Assist with monitoring of customer balances and dispatches against credit limits on an ongoing basis
 Liaise with other members of staff in sales and production to resolve queried or disputed invoices
 Ensuring invoices are filed accurately and in a timely manner
 Answering phone calls and help to resolve queries
 Assist with reconciliation of remittances and statements
 Processing of credit card expense claims
 Other ad hoc office administration tasks

Knowledge, skills and experience:
 Strong desire to work in finance & keen learner
 Strong interpersonal skills and communicates in a professional manner
 Diligent with a flexible approach, reliable and conscientious
 Good IT skills with Microsoft Excel experience
 Previous Sales Ledger/Accounts Receivable/Purchase Ledger experience desirable
 Data entry experience with excellent attention to detail
 Ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a wider team, willing to help others at short notice

Desirable knowledge and experience:
 Access Dimensions or a similar accounting system.

This role is paying up to £24,000 with a full study support package and additional benefits.
