KennedyPearce is recruiting a stand-alone bookkeeper for property development firm in London. Over the past 12 years, they have consistently scoured the globe to identify, source, fund and develop investments in over 45 global markets, with sales in excess of $750,000,000.

The role of the Junior Finance Manager is a key post and is pivotal to the effective running of the company with one particular responsibility: Finance.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the fundamentals or accounts and VAT but with energy, flexibility, initiative and drive. There is no hiding from it – this is a busy role and requires someone that is looking to thrive off the atmosphere and can deliver!

What you will be doing:

The Finance Part:

* Accounts payable processing
* Daily bank reconciliations
* Preparing weekly payment runs ensuring all relevant approvals have been obtained
* Checking and reconciling supplier accounts and ledgers
* Preparing payroll and managing expenses claims
* Helping preparation of monthly management accounts, annual financial statements & quarterly VAT returns

The Admin Part:

* Undertake general admin tasks e.g. dealing with items of correspondence, telephone messages & enquiries
* Involvement in a variety of different projects and tasks to ensure you can gain experience and exposure to the world of property

Is this you?

* Comfortable working in a fast paced and changing environment
* Excellent book keeping skills to trial balance level – experience of Xero and/or AAT/CIMA part-qualified a bonus!
* Experience in an SME environment, with demonstrable, all round technical accounting ability
* Assertive whilst building great working relationships with clients and suppliers
* An innovative and adaptable approach, be confident engaging with senior management and up for the challenge!
