KPC are excited to be partnering with a multinational public transport company. We are actively recruiting for a business analyst to focus on costing and supporting various divisional directors during a detailed bid process.

You will be Qualified with proven experience of cost or pricing analysis. You must have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work at a fast pace and demonstrate naturally commercial acumen.

Main purpose of role

* To support the rail franchise bid team by providing specialist assessment and analysis of physical and financial information relating to existing and proposed new Franchises.
* To actively contribute to the Bid strategy by acting as a Finance Business partner to Work stream lead/s.
* To lead a specific area of the bid financial prices by providing expert advice by undertaking data (financial and non-financial) collation, analysis and report preparation; including the population of base data in the bid financial and operational models.

Acting as Finance Business Partner for functional teams:

* Actively involved in defining and influencing the financial strategy of one of the functional areas of the Bid
* Building strong relationships with the functional teams and contributing to the robustness of the bid plan by providing financial expert advice and assisting in the identification and exploitation of financial opportunities

Providing first line financial support for functional teams:

* Identifying risks and opportunities for the target franchise, using bench-marking and other information
* Analysing the Business as Usual case for target rail franchise
* Preparing timely and accurate financial and commercial information to develop the bid price
* Providing insight and challenge in the development of winning initiatives and business cases, and supporting their articulation within the delivery plans
* Authoring and reviewing bid documents ensuring that the content is compelling, accurate and well written for example the Record of Assumptions
* Provide detailed support to deliver the required elements of PQQ’s, EoI’s and RFP’s
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the finance bidding process

To be considered for this role:

* Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
* Previous experience of working Bid/Tenders/Acquisitions would be preferred
* Highly inquisitive/commercial mindset
* Comfortable in a adhoc based role, every day will be different and non-structured.
* Proven Business Partner experience with senior stakeholders.
