Our client, a City based Corporate FX Traders is looking to recruit 2 established Business Development Managers to join a newly acquired part of the business.
The company provide the very best foreign exchange service to businesses across the UK. With access to over 130 major and local market currencies and a range of products, they help clients to achieve a streamlined approach to international trading, treasury and risk management.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To identify new business opportunities and manage partner relationships. The business development manager (London) is responsible for creating and providing a pipeline of private client leads to the dealing desks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To identify new business opportunities that provide private client leads to the private dealers
* To manage, grow and retain existing and new partner relationships
* Create proposals/presentations, tailored to potential partnerships
* To attend face to face meetings with existing and new partner opportunities where it is deemed appropriate and necessary to win and drive business growth.
* To provide ad-hoc training and ongoing support to junior members of the team, such as Business Development Executives.
* To maintain responsibility and accountability for partner leads, working closely with the Registration Team Leader and Senior BDM to ensure all leads are managed effectively.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To ensure an effective working relationship with the compliance, marketing and trade support functions.
* To develop a good working relationship with all staff, in order to be effective in supporting the Private client sales process.
* To attend and support FC Exchange corporate functions and exhibitions
* Utilise language skills to identify opportunities in specific geographical regions
* To remain abreast of up to date and current market knowledge
* As a valued member of the team, there is also a responsibility to engage in any activity which supports or develops production, profitability or progress as a whole.

Reports to: Managing Director of Private Division
EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT:
Public contact for the Business Development Manager (London) is extensive, through attendance at exhibitions and regular visits to key partners. The Business Development Manager (London) will also need to attend corporate hospitality and networking events on behalf of the company. The Business Development Manager (London) will therefore need to be engaging, professional and possess an excellent telephone manner.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
Normal working hours are 8:30am till 6pm, however the Business Development Manager (London) will be expected to complete the hours necessary to achieve the expected company standards and performance. To this end the Business Development Manager (London) will need to be flexible and prepared to work until the job is fully completed. The Business Development Manager (London) will be required to travel both domestically and internationally to attend corporate hospitality, exhibitions and networking events.
