Capital Gains Tax Administrator

City based Wealth Manager, are looking to recruit a Capital Gains Tax Administrator to join their expanding Operations Department. You will be responsible for building new clients CGT histories and make amendments to existing CGT clients on our client’s internal system in order to complete accurate and timely Capital Gains Tax calculations in accordance with internal procedures and client Service Level Agreements, ensuring all deliverables are achieved and errors do not occur. Other responsibilities will include;

* Follow procedures to produce CGT calculations to meet daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines.
* Checking of CGT data loaded into the CGT engine.
* Investigate the CGT classification of new assets in the CGT stock file.
* Develop a complete understanding of how CGT liabilities/reliefs are calculated taking into consideration legislation and client specific requirements.
* Keep abreast with changes to CGT regulation.
* Investigate & resolve any queries received in a prompt & professional manner.
* Proactively identify and implement steps to improve the quality of client service and processing of client information, transactions and assets.
* Undertake administration duties as specified by Section Head/Manager.
* Provide Management information & communicate progress/problems to your Section Head/Manager.
* Attend and participate in departmental meetings
* Attend any conferences, courses, etc that would be beneficial to improve knowledge and skills.

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate should have CGT, corporate actions, settlements or valuations experience. They must be a good communicator at all levels and be competent in using IT systems.

They should either hold or be prepared to study for the Securities Institute IOC “Merit Award”. Successful applicants would be expected to have gained the award within two years of attaining the position
