Chief Operations Officer

Our client, an International Financial Services firm based in the City are looking to recruit a new Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join their rapidly expanding London office. Our client is seeking a self-motivated individual who possess strong business acumen, experience in the global marketplace and an ability to translate vision into reality. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of investment operations, business strategy, global markets along with the operation of regulatory entities, distribution platforms. They will possess exceptional finance, project management and marketing, communication, and leadership skills. Additionally, this role requires strong knowledge of retail wealth management, advisory services and asset management.

Responsibilities will include:

* Qualify lead to ensure FX requirement
* Demonstrate knowledge of the International payment market
* Understand and verbalize the business value proposition
* Train, manage and hire new sales and trading staff
* Continue to develop the existing team through new techniques and motivation
* Ensure compliance and operation procedures run smoothly
* Develop long term client relationships
* Liaising with internal departments in order to develop the business
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the regional group including business, people, products and finance.
* Manage key functional areas including: Product Management, Account Management, Operations & Trading, Sales, Distribution and Marketing.
* Collaborate with and support the functional groups including: technology, marketing, finance and HR around the hiring of key personnel, development and delivery of our products and services, as well as developing and maintaining client relationships.
* Work with global business leaders in the development and execution of business strategy.
* Collaborate with regional leaders, as well as perform market research, to identify trends and competitive advantages and then translate those into an effective product roadmap.
* Assist in the preparation of regional revenue and cost budgets, as well as internal business cases for new development initiatives.

Essential Skills:

* Experience of trading for Retail Clients
* Proven knowledge and experience of the FX market with track records in FX dealing Proficient in the trading platform MT4
* Previous experience of building a sales desk
* Sale driven individual
* FCA/ prior FCA approval
* Able to meet and exceed demanding revenue targets
* Strategic mind-set with excellent people management skill
* Able to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
* Work ethic with a strong desire to exceed expectations
* Possess a positive, enthusiastic and motivated attitude
* Excellent knowledge of the global financial services marketplace
* Superior business judgement; exceptional analytical, planning, decision-making and management skills; and exemplary communication and presentation abilities.
* Action-oriented individual possessing an entrepreneurial mindset.
* Strong project, product and strategy management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional and diverse teams, including matrix structures, in locations across the globe.
* Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with excellent academic credentials.
