KennedyPearce is recruiting a Commercial Finance Analyst on behalf of a internationally recognized entertainment company. The role is responsible for providing commercial insight and subscriber forecasts across all digital products and services. As part of the Sales Planning analysis team, this person will act as a business partner to help develop forecast models, deliver reporting & insight, and formulate strategy for improving engagement and growing the user base.

With a focus on forecasting and reporting within a service business model framework, the role will include looking at acquisitions, retention, customer lifetime value & behaviour, product feature performance and campaign performance.

Forecasting: Lead model development and the forecast process for subscriber KPIs
– Co-ordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual subscriber forecasting processes
– Enhance the models using new insight and techniques to improve both forecast accuracy and the level of depth of the model
– Provide scenarios/recommendations based robust and thought-through model variations
– Understand regional/seasonal/cohort trends and how they impact the forecasts

Reporting: Deliver best-in-class reporting to inform on business performance
– Deliver daily, weekly and monthly updates, providing variance analysis with commercial context
– Develop new ways of presenting business performance through dashboards and visualisations
– Create new KPIs and ways of assessing performance
– Include insights from other parts of the business to stimulate bigger-picture thinking

Insight: Add value to the business by identifying opportunities and risks through data
– Be able to interpret large volumes of data and generate ad-hoc insight/analysis that looks to challenge the business and make recommendations to senior management
– Evaluate customer lifetime value, behaviours and segments to help inform the forecasting process and campaign targeting
– Deliver innovative insights, looking across departments, using alternative data sources and identify both micro and macro trends

– Degree (2:1 or above) or professional qualification
– Experience with an emphasis on reporting and forecasting
– Familiar with using and building forecast models and delivering and developing regular reporting
– Advanced Excel & PowerPoint
– Experience with using BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Cognos BI, Tableau etc
– Experience in any of the following industries: Digital Services / Gaming / E-commerce / Subscriptions
