Finance Analyst

KennedyPearce are recruiting a Finance Analyst on behalf of a globally recognized FMCG company.

Working as an Analyst within the Commercial Finance team you will be aligned to support and be a key business partner to specific customers within the portfolio of the sales organization (e.g. Wholesale, HoReCa,…). Your role provides analysis both on a structured and ad hoc basis to sales and finance as well as ensuring all commercial finance accountabilities are delivered in full and on time.


* Develop effective and mutually beneficial relationships in order to support and challenge sales team. Develop in depth knowledge of the commercial environment to ultimately drive increased value and profitability
* To support the sales team to ensure that off invoice investments and accruals are accounted for correctly and within the appropriate guidelines
* To ensure that the month end process runs smoothly
* To proactively support working capital visibility and improvement initiatives
* Provide financial guidance and insights that identify trends impacting year to date, rest of year and full year performance, be able to articulate these trends and make recommendations to sales team in order to drive business performance
* To support the annual budgeting process, ensuring that key pack and customer strategies are accurately reflected and built on robust assumptions in the sales forecasting system
* To support the ongoing rolling forecast, ensuring positive contributions are made to the forecasting process for volume and for financials
* To support customer revenue and pricing discussions

Qualifications & Experience

* PQ/Finalist (CIMA / ACCA)
* Experience working within a commercial finance environment, preferably within a FMCG company
* Intermediate/Advanced MS Office Suite Skills, especially Powerpoint & Excel (including pivot tables, charts etc)
* Analytical, improvement focused and problem solving mindset
* Effective communicating skills and ability to communicate with impact. This will involve being able to tailor message styles to different situations and audiences appropriately
* Proactively drives and embraces change
* Understanding of the link between FMCG suppliers, retailers and wholesalers
