Role Description

The role is primarily responsible for the financial analysis of the P&L with a focus on providing detailed insight into the revenue and cost drivers. Analysing the monthly actuals and ensuring that any variances to forecast and budget are fully understood.

The role provides analytical & financial support to the Planning Manager & Finance Controller. This is a commercially focused role which will require the individual to translate the impact of business decisions into financial terms.


Accruals & Prepayments:

* Bonus Accrual
* Contractor Accrual
* Travel & Expenses Accrual
* Reconciliation of PS Plus account
* Prepayments release.
* BIS Recharge accrual
* Cost analysis, managing costs to ensure that actuals have been correctly posted and amend where necessary

Actuals Variance Analysis & Forecasting:

* Prepare monthly actuals for overheads and provide detailed analysis on any key variances.
* Month end reporting of cost centres with analysis and commentary.
* Monthly provision of cost centre reports and review with cost centre budget holders
* Monthly headcount report
* Preparation of the monthly forecast for overheads.
* Preparation of annual budget for overheads.
* Liaise with commercial teams to facilitate the financial planning cycle
* Manage the Global cost centre including US costs for forecast and actuals and submit to the US on a quarterly basis.
* Store Headcount forecast

Candidate Skills

* Finance graduate.
* Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA Accountant
* Proven technical accounting skills
* A strong financial background with the ability to evaluate the financial impact of business decisions
* Exceptional analytical quantitative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Advanced knowledge of Excel
* Proven experience with SAP and business objects
* Experience of digital products
* Strong communication skills written and verbal
* Strong time management skills
