HR & Payroll Manager

My client is a leading Manufacturer based in Essex, looking for a Standalone HR & Payroll Manager to join a flourishing business.

As Standalone HR Manager you will be the main point of contact for up to 150 staff, a key focus will include running weekly and monthly payroll.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain company confidentiality at all times
* Proactive communication and liaison with all internal departments and stores to enable the processing of the monthly payroll ensuring:

* accurate and timely data entry
* compliance with HMRC and Government body protocols
* production of all associated payroll reports and correspondence
* resolution of payroll queries in a timely manner
* advice given is in line with company policies and procedures

* Optimising the efficiency and performance of the HR Department through active administrative support
* Provide generalist HR advice on performance management, attendance management and recruitment in line with company guidelines
* Report and record HR data, maintaining the accuracy of the HR database
* Applying the company sickness absence policy including all associated administration, interpretation, expediting concern meetings and follow up
* When required, assist with the disciplinary and grievance procedures, to include producing documentation and attending as a note taker
* To provide information to the directors and other departments as required
* Promote and maintain safe working practices in all areas
* Any other reasonable duties as required

Shared responsibilities:

* Processing of daily post and action as appropriate
* To co-ordinate with the HR team to ensure all HR processes are carried out and completed in a timely and efficient manner
* Assist with payroll year end run in conjunction with Group Finance Director and Financial Controller
* Development of new systems and work practices with Group Finance Director and Financial Controller
