City based International Bank are looking to recruit an MLRO (SMF17), who will be reporting into the Head of Compliance and Deputy General Manager.

Main responsibilities will include;

* Maintain an awareness of current AML regulations and legislation and ensure that changes are reflected in the Bank’s policy and procedures and disseminated to staff as appropriate;
* Ensure that the Bank’s policy and procedures on AML matters are kept up-to-date with changes in legislation and practice and are accessible to all staff who need access to them;
* Responsible for maintaining and updating the Fraud Policy and Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy;
* Ensure that staff in the Bank receive proper training in anti-money laundering matters;
* Ensure that own continuous training and development is maintained in order to discharge MLRO responsibilities;
* Receive Suspicious Transactions Reports from staff, investigate them where appropriate and advise staff of required action in a timely manner;
* Act as a principal point of contact for all staff on AML matters;
* Make SAR reports to the National Crime Agency (NCA) whenever necessary and manage the Bank’s relationship with external Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA’s) and Court authorities as required;
* Advise the Head of Compliance & Legal on the appointment of Deputy MLRO’s as necessary and ensure that they are equipped to discharge the role during temporary absences of the MLRO from the office;
* Liaise, as required, with our Parent Bank to ensure that their ‘group-wide’ policies are implemented in the UK if appropriate; and
* Deliver Annual MLRO Report for Board approval in line with regulatory requirement;
* Act as the FATCA Responsible Officer and ensure FATCA requirements are met;
* Provide regular Management Information reports to the Compliance Officer, Governance & Compliance Committee and to our Parent Company and other ad hoc reports as required;
* Plan and execute ongoing monitoring reviews of higher risk clients and internal AML controls on a risk based approach;
* Ownership of Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy and oversight of business compliance to its requirements;
* Good knowledge and experience of Trade Finance;
* Deliver and maintain Annual Financial Crime Risk Assessments;
* Management Information to be gathered, enhanced and circulated to senior management;
* Other tasks as directed by the Head of Department and Deputy General Manager;
* Recruit and maintain human resources in accordance with agreed plans, train, develop and lead resources to ensure that targets are met. Manage performance of staff and ensure appropriate training needs are identified;
* The job holder reports to the Head of Compliance & Legal (SMF16) and is accountable to him in respect of day to day issues relating to his responsibilities. He also has a reporting line into the Deputy General Manager who is the Senior Manager within the business that has overall accountability for AML Systems & Controls;
* Other tasks as directed by the Department Supervisor and Manager.]
