My client is an exciting London-based start up born of a joint venture between a team of experienced entrepreneurs and a major financial institution. Their product is an innovative scheme designed to provide a permanent, supplementary incme to members of a major public sector teachers union should they lose their salary through prolonged illness.

This demanding role involves breaking through an open, new market in the UK and requires a highly motivated, driven and self sufficient individual who can sell and promote the scheme, attending meetings, seminars, conferences and training sessions.

Responsibilities include:

* Recruit new members to the scheme through workplace meetings and events, home visits and over the phone
* Provide information about the scheme through presentations
* Achieving set targets for the recruitment of new members
* Build a positive attitude amongst members about the ethos and visit of the company
* Travel to schools within a designated area
* Carry out one to one meetings with interested members
* Recruit new members
* Follow up with applications
* Promoting the plan (union meetings etc.)
* Administration

Skills:

* Personality and work experience that is consultative based – this role is a subtle sell not a hard sell, plus it requires being able to take a complicated topic and explain it simply
* Similar or transferable experience in working with B2B relationships that provide potential B2C customers
* Desirable experience with a public sector (e.g. education), insurance/protection or health related products
* Adaptable and personable approach to talk to a variety of customers
* Self starter with high motivation and can work from home, target driven
* Clean drivers licence and preferably own car already
