Top Personal Assistant Mobile Apps

Apple’s Siri is not the only personal assistant app that helps you get things done just by asking. There are many other apps that let you do the same from sending messages, scheduling meetings and keeping you updated with news and traffic updates plus many more features. Here’s some apps which you can try:

Vlingo

Vlingo

Available on: most BlackBerry phones, Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch, Android phones that run OS 2.0 or higher, Nokia phones and select Windows Mobile devices.

Features: In addition to search, messaging, voice dialing and directions, Vlingo integrates with your Facebook and Twitter accounts making it the most social assistant available.

Cost: 100% Free – worth a try then, right?

Skyvi

Available on: Android

skyvi

Features: Think of Skyvi as the Android version of Siri, which is clearly their marketing campaign message. Skyvi can text/call friends, find places, make witty remarks and even tells jokes. Key features include voice directions, voice texting and tweet and Facebook update by voice.

Cost: Again, another Free one to try!

Osito:

Available on: Android

Features: Formally known as Sherpa, this personal assistant app has been re branded and updated to include more handy features. Osito is able to pick up on your location and scan your calendar and connected email accounts to display information about your day. The app is very smart at figuring out when it should display what it does thanks to its thoughtful reliance on location triggers. If it sifts through your email and registers upon a boarding pass for example, you’ll only see it once you’re actually within range of the airport you’ll need to use it in!

Cost: Free
