Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant role, previous work experience as an Accounts Assistant is an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an investment company who have raised and deployed over £9bn in the media and entertainment, infrastructure and real estate sectors. This includes involvement in the production of some of the biggest movies and tv shows of all time. Over £500 million in a range of infrastructure assets including wind, solar and anaerobic digestion and a growing successful real estate business, having funded over 30 residential developments with a value of more than £100m since 2014.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for day to day processing across nominated companies to include:

  • Timely and accurate processing and posting of purchase invoicing and payments
  • Raising sales invoices on a timely basis and posting of all transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end balance sheet reconciliations and monthly VAT returns
  • Monitoring of receivables - highlighting recoverability issues
  • Assisting with the collection of outstanding receivables
  • Performing regular bank reconciliations and timely filing of documents
  • Keeping the ledgers clean and tidy, perform reconciliations and allocate balance
  • Assist in the preparation of year end statutory financial statements
  • Provision of further Ad-hoc tasks

Candidate Specifications:

  • A 2:1 or above at degree level, strong A levels and GCSE's
  • Some Accounts Assistant work experience is an advantage
  • A quick learner, with the confidence to work independently
  • Able to work diligently and prioritise the processing of large volumes of transactions
  • SUN accounting software and VAT experience an advantage
  • Strong excel skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with excellent organisational skills
