Job description

A Leading International Law firm are recruiting within their London based Finance team. As one of the top global Law firm's they are well known in the market for their client focused and professional approach.

This Junior Accounts Assistant Job will allow you to develop your skills in transactional finance. You will be sitting within a large finance team and responsible for duties such as invoicing, reconciliations, payments, queries and assisting with Partner Pay. You will also get exposure to Tax and Financial Accounting.

This position will see you working in a busy accounts team, duties include;

  • Processing electronic payments, recording on accounts system and inputting on online banking platform and ensuring subsequent release of payment by authorised persons
  • Processing and payment of expenses
  • Processing cheque requests, printing, having these signed by authorised persons and distributing accordingly
  • Entering Court Fees onto account system, as per weekly invoice
  • Entering Land Registry and Search Flow invoices onto accounts system, as per daily invoices
  • Entering courier and taxis onto system
  • Ordering Foreign Currency and making relevant postings
  • Managing firms credit cards, posting subsequent transactions, reconciling and posting direct debits
  • Scanning of remittances to relevant fee/earner secretaries
  • Managing petty cash transactions and subsequent reconciliation thereof
  • Responding to fee earners and support staff
  • Opening and distributing internal post to the finance team
  • Maintenance of Office Account Team inbox

Experience/skills required:

  • 12 months experience in accounts payable, ideally within a legal accounts department
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communications skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ie Excel
  • Exposure to billing software would be an advantage

This role is paying up to £28k
