Accounts Payable Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager manages an AP team of 6 to ensure timely, accurate and efficient payment to all suppliers. We are looking for an experienced AP Manager who can help lead and develop our AP team, bring new ideas and processes to the table, and work closely with other managers to truly innovate finance! You will need a sense of humour, a desire to work in a busy and fast paced environment, and have a team focus at the core of everything you do. If this sounds like you then keep reading!!

What your day-to-day will look like

• Recruit, train and manage the AP Team, ensuring development plans are in place, and processes are being consistently reviewed to achieve group targets and objectives
• Build partnerships with central admin, warehouse teams and the accounts team to ensure all runs smoothly - ensuring PO and invoice details are correct
• Vendor management including maintaining accurate vendor details and account status, research requests for payment, ensure settlement discounts and rebates are taken up
• Document, manage, modify and improve best practice AP Policy
• Provide recommendations and relevant information to management to enable informed decisions about suppliers, payments and cash flow
• Assist with the preparation of ad-hoc reports and participation in ad-hoc duties as required

A bit about you

• Strong experience in accounts payable, with some AP management experience
• Awesome communication skills, with high attention to detail
• Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office, SAP a bonus!
• Team player and willing to assist all members of the team to achieve a timely and accurate result
• An understanding of all facets of day to day business and the needs of internal and external customers
