Accounts Payable Supervisor

My client is an international Media firm with a growing reputation in the market.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will take ownership and build a team to support the function.

This include but not limited to;

• Ensure the timely and accurate payment cycle of supplier's invoices in accordance with company policy, accounting and legislative requirements
• Month end reconciliation of supplier statement and invoices
• Set up of new vendors
• Completing supplier credit applications
• processing weekly payment runs and adhoc payments when required
• undertake, implement and initiate improvements on all aspect of accounts payable workflow

To be successful in the role, you will require;

• Previous senior Accounts Payable experience in a sole role
• Advanced understanding of Accounts Payable policies and standards
• Tertiary qualification in accounting desirable but not essential
• Team leadership experience
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Large volume processing of accounts for payment and customer accounts
• experience using Microsoft or Sage is preferable but not essential
• Excellent time management skills in prioritising and planning workloads to meet strict deadlines
• High level knowledge and skills in working with relevant software packages
• Advance Microsoft Office packages, excel skills - vlookups and Pivot tables
• Strong attention to details and demonstrates high accuracy in completing tasks
• Positive approach and ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
