My client is an International Entertainment company who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their Finance team. This is a great opportunity to work in a vibrant and lively environment reporting directly into the Financial Controller. As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for all financial processes, in addition to taking on other responsibilities.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Complete monthly P&L and Balance Sheet Management Accounts, prepare commentary against budgets/forecasts to review with the management team and department heads
  • Take ownership on delivering timely and accurate Balance sheet recs
  • Support completion of quarterly financial accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual financial statements
  • Deliver weekly reporting and analysis of the departmental performance to the management team
  • Key role in ensuring that customer data captured is accurate
  • Support FP&A in monthly forecasting and in annual budget preparation
  • Play a key role in the implementation of a new SAP finance system
  • Prepare VAT returns for the Company, ensuring that VAT is dealt with appropriately across the group
  • Produce bank recs and assist preparation of group cashflow forecast
  • Support year end audit by preparing audit information and dealing directly with external auditors
  • Take on AP/AR responsibilities as required

Key skills and experience

  • Degree Educated (2:1 or above)
  • Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience in Microsoft Great Plains and SAP
  • Experience producing management and statutory accounts
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Good knowledge of VAT and experience in producing VAT returns
  • Well organised, strong attention to detail, tenacious, hits deadlines
  • Strong excel skills
