Job description

Our client, a leading Real Estate Investment company based in the City are seeking a high calibre Assistant Asset Manager with the versatility to get involved with many aspects of the business. The position will be based in London but with some UK travel involved. The overall objective of this role is to assist the department management during a period of material growth in the portfolio. Subject to proven ability, the opportunity will exist to progress, with the business supporting the development towards becoming an Asset Manager.

Main responsibilities will include;

  • Assisting departmental management
  • Identifying different types of data that need tracking to improve business performance
  • Generating easy-to-interpret reports based on collected data
  • Working with the management team to prioritise suggested changes to each business segment
  • Using statistical methods and working with the team to identify areas for operational improvement and make suggestions for streamlining processes
  • Assisting in writing improved procedural manuals for all affected departments
  • Working with department managers to create data collection guidelines for internal use
  • Assisting the team with formulating annual business plans for each asset

Candidates Skills/Qualities required for the position:

  • Commercial real estate relevant degree
  • Looking for a bright individual who is motivated and has rigorous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Articulate and numerate with good analytical skills
  • Very strong computer literacy: Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, both to a high level
  • A strong intellect with an aptitude for problem solving and a tenacity to get things done
  • Team player who thrives in a fast paced environment and can juggle priorities effectively
  • Diplomacy, tact, and a helpful, positive, professional presentation and attitude are required
