KPC have partnered with a global international bank to make a senior appointment within their London office for a Chief Banking Officer. The main purpose of the role is to provide senior management oversight for the key business areas of the bank.

The position is responsible for various areas within the bank including:

• Credit Risk Management
• Retail Banking
• International Trade Finance
• Global Transfer Services
• Treasury management

Main responsibilities include:

• Lead a team that will provide a level of service which consistently and flexibly meets and exceeds customer expectations, thereby increasing customer loyalty, retention and recommendation.
• Ensure that all bank standards are maintained, and that policies and procedures are always followed, making recommendations to EXCO and OPCO where required
• Focus on income opportunity and cost containment. Ensure that all legitimate income is obtained and that through a practical and flexible approach to the business, costs are tightly controlled and driven downwards
• Execute the Banks interest rat and liquidity strategy within defined parameters
• Guide AlCo with investment trading strategies to maximise profitably and minimise risk
• Monitor risk exposures within established sanctioned facilities, referring potential excesses promptly for authorisation. Protect the bank and customer from operational risk and fraud
• Fully develop the skills and talents of teams of teams by motivating and coaching, together with effective performance management, career planning.
• Work studiously and in conjunction with colleagues to increase the bank's business base both by selling more products to our existing customer and winning new business customers. Be instrumental in developing new products. Adopt a lively approach to promotion of the bank's products.
• Lead teams in promoting a high profile amongst customers and target relationships, improving the image of the bank and its staff and customers.

Background of the Chief Banking Officer:

• Proven track record in providing leadership, development and execution of banks' business strategies
• Track record of successful corporate relationship management and business development internationally in a variety of regions
• Strong corporate and sovereign credit skills
• Knowledge of fixed income and related securities products
