Job description

My client a Global Leading Real Estate Business based in the heart of London is looking for a Finance Manager to join their head office team.


Reporting to the Head of Finance the Finance Manager will be responsible for:

    • Manage a team of six, to ensure the UK and Italy team deliver accurate financial reporting (including Quarterly Flash Reports as well as Half-Year and Year-end actuals) to the Group team in France (including overall responsibility for the UK and Italy Group Consolidation), as well as ensuring the UK and Italian business complies with all statutory and non-statutory reporting requirements, including on-time filing of accounts
    • Manage the UK and Italian group's response to changes in accounting standards by producing technical position papers with the support of the Financial Reporting Manager
    • Work closely with the Head of Finance to further develop strategy in relation to corporate transactions and group structuring impacting upon the UK and Italian business.
    • Coordinate the Corporate Finance department's response to all corporate transactions including working closely with tax and legal teams (in-house, as well as external advisers)
    • Management of deliverables arising from corporate finance transactions in relation to any acquisitions, disposals, group reorganisations or refinancing;
    • Liaise with the Strategic Planning & Analysis team to ensure that the financial impact of any proposed corporate finance transactions are appropriately reflected in the Group Forecast and 5 Year Business Plan;
    • Provide ad hoc support to the Head of Finance as required

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a Qualified ACA Qualified from Big 4 practice
  • Have proven accounting experience including significant consolidation and financial reporting experience
  • Be either a Senior Manager within a Big 4 firm having corporate finance experience OR Big 4 trained and experience in a Real Estate business
  • Have proven managerial experience
