An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced credit controller to join a prestigious brokerage firm in the city of London.

This role requires an individual who has experience with high volume and a background within financial services.

Responsibilities

o Shared collection of client debt
o Reconciliation of outstanding debt from both AS400 reporting and online access leading to maintenance of cash books
o Weekly reconciliation of bank statements and cash book entries
o Accurate allocation & posting of cash received
o Target oldest / largest debt attributed to individual banks / clients
o Reporting to Credit Committee
o Understanding of AS400 sales ledger
o Discuss issues with clients, reason for debt, possible escalation with both our / their management
o Maintain excellent client and internal relationships
o Monthly delivery of invoicing for distribution
o Maintaining monthly filing system
o Liaising with brokers and clients over brokerage disputes
o General administration duties
o Any other reasonable duties

Requirements

o 2 years experience in similar role
o A background within either Financial Services / Broking / Banking / Insurance Broking essential
o Good experience developing productive relationships
o Essential understanding of all company related products
o Audit experience & ability to help improve internal controls desirable
o Good inter-personal skills
o Knowledge of AS400 system
o Data Inputting
o Ability to communicate at the highest level
o Retain a professional level under pressure
o Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
o Confident and self - motivated
o Hard-working and proactive
o Good Literacy and Numeracy skills (GCSE in Maths and English desirable)
