Job description

My client, a well-established financial services firm, specialising in delivering fund and corporate services, capital market solutions, private wealth and employee benefit solution, worldwide. Are looking for a Depositary Administrator to join their rapidly growing team.

As a Depositary Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • Actively participating in the day to day operational depositary work, ensuring compliance of Alternative Investment Funds with regulations and client documents, with a focus on taking responsibility for the following depositary duties:
    1. Cash monitoring
    2. Oversight
    3. Safekeeping
  • Ensuring that daily cash flow monitoring of fund bank accounts is undertaken
  • Reviewing fund valuations and accounts to ensure they have been completed accurately and in accordance with the fund documentation
  • Maintaining asset registers and undertake procedures to verify the fund's ownership of those assets
  • Administer a varied portfolio of depositary clients in accordance with the firm's Policies, Procedures and Controls Manual
  • Preparing periodic client and fund board reports
  • Assisting the Depositary Manager to manage client relationships
  • Ensure the Depositary Manager is kept informed of activities at all times
  • Assisting the Depositary Manager with the completion of the ISAE 3402 audit
  • Ensuring that client files are correctly maintained and all relevant correspondence and documentation is accurately and regularly filed
  • Preparing client take-on documentation prior to commencing engagement
  • Reviewing aged debt and other financial information as required by the internal Finance team
  • Consider at all times the 'Money Laundering' and 'Know Your Clients' issues and report any concerns to the Depositary Manager

As a Depositary Administrator you will need:

  • 2 years experience working either in a Depositary or Fund Administration environment, preferably with Private Equity/Real Estate/Infrastructure/Debt funds
  • Working knowledge of AIFMD requirements for Depositaries
  • Educated to degree level
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excellent Microsoft Excel skills)
  • Proficient IT skills
