Job description
Technology Organisation seeks an EMEA Finance Manager to join the business on an interim assignment. As the Finance Manager for the Europe, Middle East and Africa, this finance role has responsibility to deliver accurate and timely accounting services and robust financial controls for the Uxbridge-based finance function, leading the general ledger team and partnering with senior finance leaders across the business. This role is a key member of the EMEA Finance Team whose vision is to provide superior service experiences to our customers and employees to support scalable business growth.
Duties of the EMEA Finance Manager include:
Responsible for the General Ledger close process including balance sheet reconciliations and submission of results to Corporate within Global close timeline
Manage team to complete all tasks within prescribed time frames
Work with COE Continuous Improvement team to drive process improvements
Ensuring robust internal controls are consistently applied
Management Information (MI) and Analytical reviews
Compliance with accounting and finance policies / recommends & advises on policy improvements
Monthly metrics reviews
Co-ordinating the delivery of the local financial statements on time to meet local statutory or regulatory requirements
Responsible for regulatory reporting as required including EMEA Stat Accounts
Corporation Tax and VAT Returns
As a people leader for a team of three, responsible for driving a high-performance culture where quality output matters
Working capital management working closely with business partners including working capital functions (AP, AR, Inventory) and commercial business partners to drive Free Cash Flow
This role is key in driving and supporting the external audit requirements
This role is a key connector of multiple senior stakeholders including the Commercial Finance teams, Supply and Operations team, Group Planning, Group Technical Accounting and Tax
Understanding of customer (internal and external) needs and adaptability is required to drive and deliver a superior service to the key stakeholders
Advises stakeholders on accounting impacts of transactions / helps develop solutions to challenges with key focus on revenue transactions, margins analysis and revenue recognition
