Job description

We are looking for a Rare Character to become our new Commercial Finance Analyst. As a key member of this team, you will be required to support the provision of financial and management reporting and analysis for the UK business.

Your skills will also allow you to partner our Sales and Marketing teams through financial management, reporting and planning to drive optimal commercial outcomes whilst maintain strong operational and commercial controls.

Key Responsibilities & Critical Success Measure include:

  • Provide detailed and accurate financial support to the Sales and Marketing teams, enabling them to highlight issues, risks and opportunities
  • Support the business in the preparation of Budget and Forecasting cycles to ensure the delivery of robust financial plans to Asia Pacific and Group
  • Involvement in key strategic business projects and initiatives as required to drive value and efficiency across the business
  • Build strong working relationships with internal commercial and marketing customers in order to ensure planned A&P spend is accurately accounted for.
  • Review and maintain strong control environment, with documented controls and procedures in place
  • Collaborate with forecast analyst to support the process
  • Lead the commercial month end process, ensuring all liabilities are correctly accounted for, all required adjustments are made, and that the Management Accounts accurately reflect the performance of the business

Key competencies required for this role will include:

  • Appropriate qualifications are essential (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or proven study towards one of these
  • Prior experience at this level is required
  • Experience of working in a commercial, Media business is beneficial, but not a pre-requisite
  • Ability to deliver to demanding deadlines to achieve month end, latest estimate and budget reporting actions per the relevant timetable
  • Ability to analyse data effectively
  • Competency in planning and organising
  • Strong financial control background
  • Microsoft Office proficient (excellent Excel skill essential)
  • Excellent presenter and communication skills
