Job description
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Finance Assistant to join a media agency on a 3-6 month basis with potential to extend. This role provides financial reporting, analysis, and operational support while working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial management, efficient processes, and continuous improvement across the finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance graduate or someone with early career finance experience looking to develop within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist with monthly management reporting and month-end close activities.
- Maintain financial records, project codes, and master data within the finance system.
- Support the maintenance and integrity of the general ledger.
- Prepare forecasts and budgets for designated cost centres.
- Produce financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders.
- Respond to finance-related queries from internal departments and external contacts.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process.
- Produce ad hoc financial analysis and management reports as required.
Finance Administration
- Act as a key point of contact for finance queries relating to assigned business areas.
- Process employee expense claims accurately and efficiently.
- Raise invoices for intercompany and third-party recharges.
- Support the Management Accountant with ad hoc finance projects and reporting.
Financial Operations
- Liaise with external auditors and provide supporting documentation during audits.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory reporting and tax documentation.
- Support the continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- A finance graduate or someone with relevant finance experience.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A confident communicator who can build effective working relationships.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player with a positive approach to problem-solving.
