Job description
Property company based in London looking for a Country Finance Manager- This role will be for 6 months and is based in West London.
This role will suit a candidate with 3-6 yeats post qualified and ideally from a Big 4 background. Property/ Hospitality/ leisure experience preferred.
Key aspects:
Financial reporting
- Set reporting timetable based on investor/bank/statutory requirements and monitor financial reporting compliance.
- Liaising with investors and lenders on all financial reporting matters
- Manage the year end external audit processes at both group and local levels efficiently- Ensure adherence to IFRS/local GAAP including all new standards and amendments.
- Reconciliation of management P&L to trial balance.
Tax
- Review corporation income tax/VAT returns, prepare tax notes for the annual accounts and perform basic tax analysis with assistance from the tax team.
- Liaising with the tax team on projects and tax analysis
Transaction
- Key player in the transition team following a new hotel acquisition to ensure efficient and smooth post acquisition transition, assessment of incumbent finance team/controls/processes, training and improvements where required.
- Manage loan structuring including loan document compliance, optimisation of debt/equity ratios, interest payments. Maintain up to date records of interest calculations and principle balances on loans of underlying investment vehicles and holding companies accounts
Treasury Management
- Prepare or assist with annual budgets and variance monitoring as required.
- Proactively assess cashflow forecasts and cash repatriation options.
- Responsible for adequate cash and bank controls implementation a
- Organise bank approvals for new starters and ensure leavers are removed immediately.
- Liaise with the banks to ensure any new banking regulations are understood and implemented including confirmation of balances under EMIR banking regulations.
