Job description

Our client is an iconic Real Estate & Hospitality group with an ever-expanding footprint and a fantastic culture. Due to the continues growth, they require an energetic Finance Systems Manager to help the finance team on a permanent basis.

This team member will be involved across all activities of the function, including:

Responsibilities

  • Support the design & development of the new finance system
  • Support the development of other new systems across the business to ensure the work with the Finance system
  • Develop & maintain a tight controls environment relating to security, access & data integrity
  • Establish processes and workflows to ensure the flow of data from other systems and data providers is maintained in a timely fashion
  • Own the relationship with the system providers to ensure the system is working and updated as required. Work with appropriate parties to resolve issues & problems
  • Act as a superuser for the finance system, providing support to all departments across the business to utilise the system to its maximum capability
  • Ensure all data in the finance system is consistently recorded accurately allowing transparency of performance across all business units
  • Own the implementation of additional functionality as it becomes available and where it becomes a business requirement (eg intro of a new business venture)
  • Review and drive efficiencies in processes through system utilisation

  • All internal departments but mainly Finance to ensure the smooth running and accuracy of the system and the data it holds
  • External suppliers & systems which feed into and require feeds from the finance system
  • Residents & customers of the business
  • External Auditors
  • Company Asset Managers
  • Investors

Skills/background of the candidate

  • Experience in a similar systems role or IT background looking after or implementing systems
  • Good understanding of Finance processes and the link to systems
  • Good understanding of system governance & controls

Desired

  • Experience working for a property or residential business
  • Finance qualification (not essential)
  • Experience in developing, managing controls and governance of a system
