A great opportunity has arisen for one of the world's top insurance companies to work with and support the Financial Controller, to manage the accounting and reporting activities of the Insurance Accounting Team. As the Financial Accountant you will ensure key financial numbers are collated and reported which will necessitate liaison within external parties and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the monthly close process, including the review of inputs, journals and review of key financial outputs
• Reconciliations between different source systems, helping to maintain a strong control framework
• Understanding data flows through the companies complex financial architecture and investigating/ resolving issues as they occur
• Assist in the production of the monthly and quarterly management reports

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience of working for an Insurance Accounting team or alternatively within a top tier accountancy practice
• Be a newly Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant (ACA)
• Have experience of working in a complex financial services environment
• Have a strong financial accounting background and understanding
• Be familiar with Oracle Fusion
• Be Excel savvy
• Be able to think quickly and clearly under pressure in a deadline driven environment
• Be a dynamic individual that can adapt quickly to change
