KennedyPearce are recruiting an Financial Controller within a visual communications provider business.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be in charge of managing the financial accounting for the Group (including both UK and International subsidiaries). This is a technical role which includes team management for part qualified accountants, management of the audit process as well as ensuring a smooth and efficient month end/balance sheet review process. There will also be a number of projects to take charge of alongside the "day to day" tasks.

Key activities:

This will be a hands on role which will involve the following:

• Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts
• Preparation of year end audit pack and managing the year end audit
• Managing the AP (Accounts Payable) and AR (Accounts Receivable) teams
• Presenting to Directors and senior management
• Ensuring all financial policies and procedures are adhered to
• Working with external providers of legal, accounting, audit and other professional advice, especially to ensure the compliance and filing of Statutory Financial Statements to Companies House and corporate tax returns to HMRC
• Enhancing financial reporting, controls and procedures across the group
• Providing support on Company tax affairs including research and development
• Other ad hoc tasks as requested

Candidate requirements

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA qualified) with at least 3 years post qualified experience
• Previous management accounting experience with SME's, large privately owned businesses or PLC companies
• Strong communication skills including willingness to present to Directors and clients
