My client, a leader in their field have enlisted me to exclusively find their next Group Financial Analyst to join their ever growing team. Within their great culture they are looking to add this Finance Analyst ASAP.

You will be supporting the Group Finance Manager and the Head of Finance with processing and delivering regular P&L performance reporting and current year forecasting across the Group. You will also do ad hoc analysis and provide commentary to the CEO.

Responsibilities

• Providing systems and organisational assistance around the Budget and Forecast process
• Consolidation of the Group numbers and the reporting required to support the sign-off process
• Ensuring the Finance Manager is made aware of any problems or delays
• Assist in the systems and process improvements with a view to making the process more efficient
• Assist in updating and maintaining the rolling forecast and tracking of mitigating action
• Supporting the budgeting and forecast cycles for the group including:
  
  
• Group Finance & Strategy
• Summary schedules for presentational purposes
• Internal consistency
• Assist in the completion of US narrative explaining variances
• Assist in update and maintenance of forecast/budget books

Additional responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of weekly results to the CFO
• Assist in the logistics of the weekly reporting process and execute systems changes
• Investigate and solve any variances which arise during the weekly reporting process
• Understand the full P&Ls for the business comprised of titles; print and digital, print operations and brand extensions
• Assist with investigating variances in results against expectations with other finance staff

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS - TM1

To be successful in this role you will be:

• A Newly Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Proficient in SAP or TM1
• A logical thinker
• Proactive
• Commercially aware with strong accounting skills
• Interested in working in Media
