Job description

Our client who are a boutique Consultancy are searching for a Part time Head of HR. This is a newly created position and a very exciting time to join as they are streamlining processes, doubling their headcount, and growing as a business. You will be number one in HR reporting to the Founding Partners.

This requires a 'pragmatic hands on' approach combined with a strategic business commercial outlook combating any barriers to change. It is imperative that the role holder has employee relations and reward experience, without the need to seek external guidance (except in extreme situations) on employment law matters and able to deal with employment law negotiations with little or no guidance.

The role:

  • This is a stand-alone role, partnering with the Founders
  • The Head of HR will have primary day-to-day responsibility for all HR matters
  • Being hands on with both strategic and operational
  • Assisting with the growth of the business with new talent, 5-year growth plan
  • Continuous updates of HR policy and internal handbooks and wider EVP
  • keeping management informed of legal requirements and the changes in any employment legislation
  • Build relationships with senior board level stakeholders and the wider employee workforce gaining trust and confidence in the ability to deliver of a commercially pragmatic HR strategy
  • Deal with any performance or grievance issues in a professional manner

The candidate:

  • CIPD Qualified or relevant experience
  • Industry experience within a consultancy (desired)
  • Setting up a HR function
