Job description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Recruitment to join one of the top Global Insurance companies that I have been supporting for over 10 years. You will manage the delivery of a cost effective, high quality recruitment service which is in line to the company's talent strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • To develop senior hiring strategy and processes
  • Oversee hiring campaigns for senior roles, directly sourcing selected roles and working with executive search firms where necessary
  • Provide oversight of both Permanent and Contract recruitment to ensure appropriate service level quality
  • Defining and managing a pool of search firms that meet the evolving business needs
  • Engage with the business and HR functions to understand business needs and areas for service improvement
  • Work with the business and employee networks to build a robust understanding of requirements for attracting diverse talent
  • Challenge the business and recruitment providers to disrupt existing practices in order to attract new and different candidates to support delivery of talent strategy
  • Ensure compliance to key regulations such as IR35
  • Oversee key metrics and reporting, engaging with key stakeholders across the business
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging / best practice recruitment technology, processes and thinking, to enhance QBE's recruitment offering

Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with Senior Stakeholders
  • Experience of leading a talent acquisition function in a large organization (in house and via RPO)
  • Significant experience of running direct sourcing campaigns for senior roles resulting in successful hires / cost savings (UK and European experience preferable)
  • Experience of partnering with executive search firms for senior roles where necessary (UK and European experience preferable)
  • Experience of defining and executing inclusion and diversity recruitment strategies
  • Strong people management experience (both directly and indirectly)
  • Senior stakeholder management experience
  • Strong understanding of latest recruitment thinking, technology and agencies
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of large global corporate organisations
  • Experience of working within the Insurance or Financial services industry would be an advantage

Base Salary up to £100,000 plus a good benefits package

Hybrid working model to be confirmed (possibly 3 days home / 2 days office)
