Job description

HR GENERALIST / ADVISOR

Reporting to Head of HR

Our Client an exciting TV Production firm are looking to expand their HR team due an increase in work loads! This is a friendly and family run firm so you really feel part of the team!

Main purpose of the job:

Manage and maintain the relationships between the employees and the business.

Ensure that all staff are compliant with Company policies and procedures.

Oversee the employee lifespan from hiring through to exit.

Responsible for maintaining Company HR policies.

Provide cover for Head of HR where necessary.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Manage employee-employer relationship

  • Maintain relationships across the Group
  • Deal with general HR enquiries from staff and management
  • Administrate grievance process
  • Administrate disciplinary process
  • Administrate Performance Improvement Plans
  • Manage Company family friendly policies

Recruitment

  • Maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies
  • Assist hiring managers with creation of job descriptions and advertisements
  • Conduct interview process
  • Undertake background checks
  • Produce employment contracts

Exit process

  • Conduct exit interview process
  • Liaise with Line Managers and Payroll to administer severance
  • Manage notification of termination paperwork
  • Ensure HR systems are updated

Restructuring

  • Liaise with business to ensure restructure and redundancy policies are adhered to
  • Quarterly reviews with UK Financial Controller and Head of HR to ensure accruals are managed
  • Facilitate redundancy process
  • Responsible for creating all related paperwork
  • Support business heads with business cases for restructure

Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date with current legislation
  • Provide support to Management to ensure all staff comply with company policies
  • Responsible for updating policy and procedure changes are updated on the company intranet

HRIS

  • Responsible for ensuring the HR database is up to date
  • New joiner and leaver administration
  • Record promotions and salary increases
  • Track probation periods and Fixed-Term contracts
  • Manage reporting suite

Training

  • Facilitate Line Managers training needs for their teams
  • Investigate training courses as and when required
  • Implement and manage Work Experience programme
  • Manage HR training presentations alongside Head of Hr
