This exciting, growing Fintech business based in Central London is looking to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for a 9 month maternity cover.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be part of a small team of professionals working to maintain control and transparency of the company's International finances. Your goal will be to contribute to developing an effective finance department and help the wider team understand financial results and impacts.

Responsibilities:

• Oversight of the preparation of monthly Management Accounts to tight deadlines including variance analysis and commentary
• Review of full monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Cash flow forecasting and management
• Oversight of the Revenue Assurance process throughout the European operations
• Oversight of European VAT return process (across 7 countries) and providing guidance to the Finance team
• Quarterly reporting to FCA
• Preparation of year end accounts
• Training and developing the team
• Providing finance and operational support to the wider business and impact operational change

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified accountant with prior experience in managing and a developing team
• Relevant up to date accounting knowledge (IFRS) with some treasury and VAT exposure
• Experience of delivering financial control and insightful management reporting
• Strong organisational skills and determination to get things done
• Ability to work at pace and meet challenging deadlines
• A willingness to roll your sleeves up & get involved with a wide variety of tasks and projects
