City based Boutique financial services firm, are looking to recruit an Investment Assistant. The position is well suited to a candidate who is looking for a varied role in financial services with exposure to both clients and investee companies alike.

You will work throughout all areas of the business, leading on initial analysis on investment propositions and the preparation of reports for investment committee. You will also assist with investor relations on both a formal and ad hoc basis throughout the lifecycle of the investment.

Responsibilities will include;

• Administration of paperwork on behalf of Senior Partners
• Vetting and analysis of potential portfolio companies
• Preparation and presentation of analytical reports on portfolio companies
• Collation, preparation and distribution of formal investor reports
• Liaise with both investors and portfolio companies to resolve any issues arising

To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience and skills;

• Motivated self-starter able to work under minimal supervision using initiative
• Proficient in full range of Microsoft Office products - expertise in Excel preferred
• Confident and presentable when dealing with counterparties
• Strong time management skills with impeccable attention to detail
• Willing to study towards CISI approved qualifications
• Degree qualification
• Experience in non-standard investments or other financial institution
• Degree in related field (e.g. economics, finance, etc)
• Ambition to run and manage own client book
