A leading media company based in the City are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join their Finance team. The successful candidate will be producing and analysing month end accounts as well as helping to meet all other reporting deadlines. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a minimum of 3 years relevant finance experience, pro-active and someone who had the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Preparation of detailed monthly management accounts
• Analysis of variances of actual costs versus forecast
• Preparation of balance sheet submissions
• Preparation of notes and comments for month end Senior Management meeting
• Submission of quarterly forecasts and budgets
• Detailed analysis and monitoring of cost accounts
• Preparation of month end accruals and prepayments
• Processing adjustments and other journals as required
• Reconciling all group intercompany accounts
• VAT Returns
• Assist auditors in the half year, year-end audits, SOX audits and internal audits.
• Ad hoc duties as required

Experience Needed:

• 3 years + finance experience and confident in delivering management accounts
• Experience of using Maconomy is essential
• Previous experience within the media industry is an advantage
• Part qualified - ACCA/CIMA
• Educated to degree level (2:1)
• Strong excel skills
• Excellent communication skills
