Financial Accountant ACA

Our Client:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing and well-reputed leader within the Retail Industry. They are currently due to expand their team with competent individuals to be a part of the continued growth.

Our client is now looking to hire a full time newly qualified accountant. The ideal candidate for this position would be a BIG 4 first-time mover. Great work benefits and close business exposure with strategic development plans on offer.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance manager, your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

    • Production of monthly management accounts
    • Ensure all month-end processes and reconciliations are undertaken accurately and on time.
    • Oversight over the Asset creation and reconciliation process
    • Manage and ensure accurate processing of day-to-day financial controls.
    • Involvement in the preparation and processing of taxation compliance requirements.
    • Supervision and experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and other financial functions.
    • Direct involvement with the Audit process and Income Tax return.
    • Assist with the development and suggest improvements on systems and procedures for the company but more specifically that impact on the finance team.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial, statutory and government policy requirements and conduct all activities with a high level of ethical standards.
    • Carry out any other duties within the scope and level of the position as directed by the Finance Manager and Senior Management Accountant.

The successful Applicant:

  • ACA Degree qualified in Accounting/Commerce/Business discipline
  • Background in Audit - Chartered Firm
  • Newly qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Competent Excel knowledge
  • Basic IFRS knowledge would be desirable
  • Able to complete assigned tasks within reporting deadlines
  • Collaborative approach and positive attitude
