Job description
A real estate investment firm in the heart of Mayfair is looking to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant or newly Qualified Accountant, reporting to Director, Corporate Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic highly driven and motivated professional to join a market leading group and play an important role in its growth. Whilst being a good team player, there will be ample opportunity for direct responsibility and the candidate should be a confident self-starter.
The successful candidate will hold a strong academic record, including being degree educated from a top ranked university.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and providing the external accountants with the information required to meet reporting deadlines
- Assist in the review of the monthly management accounts
- Review Coding and Posting of AP Invoices Via SAP/SAP Concur
- Run the sales ledger
- Raise quarterly management fees
- Monitor receipt of cash and credit control
- Review Bank Postings and perform Bank reconciliations
- Review coding of expenses and oversee process
- Prepare Cashflow reporting
- Provide monthly and annual cost analysis for various expense line items
- Assist with the year-end group audit process and the oversight of local accountants in the preparation of subsidiary annual accounts and meeting local filing requirements
- Review Quarterly VAT returns and prepare quarterly EC sales list
- Provide any ad-hoc assistance as required
Requirements
- First Class or 2:1 Degree Russell Group University in Accountancy, Economics, Finance etc.
- Strong academics including recently attained or on track to attain a recognised professional accounting qualification, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Enthusiastic and flexible individual
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting fundamentals and regulations
- Ability to think and work independently
- Numerate with excellent analytical and financial modelling skills (desirable)
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel an absolute must
