Job description

My Client, a prestigious international Bank, are looking for a Private Banking Assistant to join their team on a 12 month FTC, maternity cover basis. Sitting within the Consumer Banking and Wealth Management division you will be assisting the Private Bankers who deal with High Net Worth individuals. Successful candidates must have 2 years' experience within Private Banking dealing with UAE clients.

As a Private Banking Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the team in daily support duties to provide a high level of customer service to Private Banking clients
  • Supporting the team to schedule customer appointments as well as event planning
  • Preparation of marketing literature and co-ordination of the RMs business trips
  • Co-ordinating trip documentation requirements
  • Printing and binding of marketing literature, reports and Prospectus for business trips
  • Updating and coordinating relevant documents for client distribution
  • Being involved in the greeting of clients as part of the front of house coverage
  • Handling client calls and meeting clients in the absence of a Relationship Manager
  • Opening new accounts, making sure all the relevant paperwork is complete
  • Monitor all activity on all client accounts, ordering cheque books, etc.
  • Monitoring Fixed Deport maturity dates and renewing the same as per client's instruction
  • Assisting the RMs with maintaining updated KYC information and AML monitoring
  • Assisting with reviews of existing client files due to ongoing regulatory changes
  • Writing and updating call reports and monthly pipelines
  • Assist with various special projects as instructed

As a Private Banking Assistant you will need:

  • 2 years' Banking experience, ideally within a Private Bank
  • Have experience dealing with UAE clients
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Demonstration of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
  • Must be proactive in setting and maintaining high client service levels
  • Be able to work well within a dynamic fast paced team
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative and ability to prioritise work
  • Must be task orientated and able to meet targets and deadline
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to thrive whilst working under pressure
  • Must have good attention to detail as accuracy is essential
  • Be self-motivated with an ability to work consistently and efficiently under pressure
