Business

Boutique private equity real estate fund, who invest in special situations. Currently investing their second fund and seeking to raise a third, a firm invests in all use classes across the South East of England, previous investments include development sites, offices, residential and retail. Investors are some of the world's leading institutions, endowments and family offices primarily from the UK and US.

Direct exposure to senior management and latitude to learn new skills and take on responsibility for further futures as you grow into the business and role. This could include training / courses towards relevant qualifications.

Based in the West End, there are 8 full time staff. This is a new hire due to expansion.

Role

Accounting & Fund Duties (85-90%)

  • Coordinate and supervise preparation of quarterly, management accounts of investment SPV's, which are outsourced to a third‐party accountants and fund administrators
  • Manage the relationship with the outsourced administrators
  • Review year-end financial statements
  • Coordinate year end audit process
  • Review filings including corporation tax returns (including capital allowances), Vat returns, CIS returns, NRL, FCA and NRCGT returns
  • Tax structuring and work with tax advisors on new acquisitions, sales and fund structuring
  • Assist in the acquisition and financing process, including reviewing documentation including SPA's and facility agreements, managing lawyers, accountants and administrators and participating in negotiations with lenders
  • Assist in the preparation of investor relations materials which summarise the position of the funds for Investors and respond to investor queries
  • Financial modelling including monthly net asset reviews

Other Duties (10-15%)

  • General fund administration including invoicing; opening new bank accounts, KYC

Experience and Background

  • Newly qualified or part qualified Accountant
  • Smart, ambitious with strong organisational and motivational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills, to create, develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and written English skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to assimilate and adapt quickly to new knowledge and concepts
