A very well known Banking Services provider are looking for a processing specialist with some relevant experience. The team you will be working in provides middle and back office functions for the entire branch. This is a 6 Month FTC position with a possibility of going permanent. This means it is a great opportunity for someone to further their skills and be an integral part of a successful team whilst potentially securing a permanent position without the actual pressure of having to go permanent.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
? Inward & Outward remittances
? Customer & Account opening / maintenance
? Cashiering duties in absence of main cashiers
? Loan amendment and Disbursal
? Supporting the Treasury and Investment Desk for Settlement & Reconciliation.
Remittance and Clearing Activities:
? Processing inward & outward remittance
? Processing/amending/cancelling of standing orders
Customer / Account Activities and Loan processing:
? Creation / Amendment of customer information records
? Account opening/closing/amendment etc.
? Set up, amendments, and roll over of Fixed Deposit
? Issuance, cancellation and acknowledgement of Cheque books
? Debit Cards related processing of request, inventory, delivery, and marking hot, etc.
? Processing Loan opening and amendment
? Sterling & Foreign Exchange
? Paying in Cheque for Outward clearing
? Issuance of Manager's Cheques and Demand Drafts
The ideal skills and attributes required are as follows:
A minimum of 3 years UK Banking Operations, Back Office Processing experience essential
? A minimum of 3 years Investment settlements experience
? System knowledge and experience in SWIFT, Clear stream are desirable
? Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
? Knowledge / understanding of FCA money laundering regulations
? Risk and control focus on operational processes
? Strong work ethic
? A team player; must have experiences of working within a team
? Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
? High personal standards and dress code commensurate with being at the front line in dealing with the Bank's clients
? Excellent time management skills with the ability to thrive whilst working under pressure
? Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
? Should have a positive "can do" attitude combined with a flexible approach to the tasks required
? Undertake additional duties as assigned by managers to fulfill team and individual goals
As a successful candidate you will also support the team as a front facing Cashier when needed. This may be in the form of cover or assistance when busy.
The position is paying £30,000.00 pro-rata and is the standard working hours of Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
