Job description

My client a Prestigious International Bank, based in the West End of London, are looking to recruit a Relationship Director to join their expanding Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) team which sits within their Wholesale Banking Department. This is a brand new headcount/position, so an amazing opportunity for someone to really make the position their own and make a difference/impact in the bank!

As Relationship Director C&IB, the incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Actively marketing the bank to the relevant client base as outlined from time to time in the risk appetite statement for Wholesale Banking
  • Identify opportunities and seek approval for credit limits on a cradle to grave principle with the relevant approval authority within the bank
  • Manage and monitor existing credit exposure against deterioration issue (both market and client specific elements)
  • Support and complete the documentation progress through the dedicated documentation team
  • Source relevant information where available from clients and third party information providers to feed into the credit analyst
  • Provide feedback to all relevant parties who are involved in the credit process together with the credit analyst
  • Providing support as and when required by Head of Wholesale Banking
  • Source relevant additional client names where applicable
  • Support adherence to all internal policies
  • Ensure processing and reporting of management information, transactions and adherence to limits
  • Investigations of errors/ queries resulting from the production of management information

To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience and skills;

  • Minimum of 2 years within a treasury environment with exposure to LCR/NSFR/Liquidity gap management
  • University degree to level of BSc (Economics or Accounting)
  • Professional qualification such as : CFA/ACT/IFQ/Certificate of ALM (Preferred)
  • Sound understanding of cash and FX products, valuation of financial instruments in banking and trading books
  • Ability to compute numerical data by performing complex calculations using methods such as ratios, percentages and trend analysis
  • Knowledge of systems including Calypso and Bloomberg
  • Team player who values others viewpoints and can absorb information and knowledge and demonstrate understanding of the environment
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Highly motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to thrive whilst working under pressure
  • Accurate organized individual, flexible and happy to undertake any task in support of the team members and thus the client
