Financial Planning and Reporting Manager

My client, a world leader in their field are looking for a Financial Planning and reporting manager to joing their ever-growing team. You must be immediately available for this position or have 1-2 week notice MAX.

The role:

Financial reporting

  • Analysis and preparation of consolidation monthly financial reports
  • Assist with the preparation of Investor Presentation and Group's Financial statements
  • Analysis and review of subsidiary monthly reporting
  • Ensuring compliance in accordance with IFRS and Australian accounting standards
  • Coordinating with local finance teams to verify US GAAP to Stat adjustments
  • Provide technical accounting support to the business
  • Review of existing reporting processes and controls to streamline reporting and realise efficiencies
  • Assist with audit requirements



Working collaboratively within the Financial Reporting team to perform the following:

  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly reporting to major shareholder.
  • Ensuring accounting policies are in accordance with US GAAP
  • Ensuring Sarbanes Oxley controls for US reporting regulations are operating effectively and always met without exception
  • Reporting of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Strategic initiatives and projects
  • Assist with strategic projects, divestments and M&A procedures utilising financial acumen and technical expertise to ensure best outcome for the Group
  • Project management and other attributes
  • Strong project management skills to efficiently ensure monthly reporting requirements (both internal and external) are well planned and executed
  • Work collaboratively within the team to share and obtain knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with company policies/procedures and adhere to the groups values
  • Process and system improvements



Your technical skills

  • Audit experience
  • Experience with US GAAP
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Use of Hyperion reporting systems desirable



Your profile - MUST HAVES

  • 4-5 years Big 4 experience and ACA qualified
  • Managed a small team previously
  • Experience in the production of financial statements
  • Strong analytical skills, financial acumen and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving skills and analytical innovation
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Be approachable and willing to collaborate with others where necessary
  • Adopt a whole business perspective when solving issues
  • Demonstrates commercial acumen with understanding of similar business
  • Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
  • Works productively in a fast paced and agile environment
