International Bank with a Head office for Europe in Central London are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant. The position reports in the Director of the Financial Reporting and Control team. You will be the most senior position in the team and therefore you will assist other members but you will not directly manage them.

Duties

• Preparation of Annual Financial statements and associated notes
• Preparation of various internal management reporting
• Head Office reporting including Fair value levelling under US GAAP FAS 157 requirements
• Month-end ledger close management
• Co-ordinate and manage the balance sheet substantiation process across the company
• Prepare periodic Fair Value levelling submissions under US GAAP FAS157
• Assist in analysis and implementation of accounting policy changes for UK and IFRS reporting

You will also drive ongoing process improvements to increase efficiency both within the team as well as organisation wide strategic initiatives.

Essential Experience

You have extensive experience in Financial Reporting including UK GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge

Beneficial Experience

Ideally you would have worked in Banking and have knowledge of fixed income. It is beneficial if you have subsidiary accounting or head office consolidation experience and a background in Product Control. US GAAP would be useful
