Job description

Prestigious International Bank based in the City, are looking to recruit a Senior Reporting (MI) Analyst to join their expanding Operations Department. The job holder is expected to interface with various Single Point of Contacts (SPOCs) across the London Branch to ensure reports are centrally created, consolidated, quality checked and distributed ensuring accuracy and consistency at all times. There is also a requirement to develop and continuously improve process of the London Branch MI reports on a daily/monthly/quarterly and annual basis.

Main responsibilities will include;

  • Co-ordinate the submission and collate MI for various committees & reports
  • Ensure that relevant committees and individuals receive MI in a timely manner
  • Ensure that effective risk reporting mechanisms are in place in the production of timely and accurate MI (KRIs & BRA)
  • Continuously work to build and improve the reporting function
  • Interpret and analyse data from various data sources from the business
  • Assist in other data/projects or ad hoc requests in support of business requirements
  • Ensure management actions related to MI are implemented according to stated deadlines
  • Instrumental in providing insightful dashboard, providing senior management with the information they need to make data driven business decisions
  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are met and to a high standard
  • Provide key MI reporting support in relations to Financial Crime, Compliance, Finance, Risk and Operations
  • Identify and resolve Quality issues on UK System
  • Utilise excel skills and reporting knowledge to recommend changes to improve efficiency
  • Have an appreciation for the regulatory impact of reporting requirements
  • Ensure management actions related to MI are implemented according to stated deadlines
  • Enhancing existing reporting and applying innovative thinking to improve the offering
  • Assist team manager in all ad hoc queries from across the business relating to MI requirements

To be considered for this position, ideal candidates need the following experience & skills;

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within a Banking environment
  • Educated to a degree level
  • Relevant experience in a reporting role, preferably in a Risk and/or Financial Crime function
  • Advanced VBA & SQL Knowledge
  • Work in adherence to FCA Conduct Rules
  • Behaviours are expected to be in line with the Bank's core values
  • Good eye for detail, able to see patterns and trends in data set
  • Expert in Excel manipulation and formulae development
  • Proven ability to develop automated dashboards in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly translating business requirements into presentable data and explaining complex issues clearly

  • Ability to deliver results under pressure
  • Self-motivator and can work proactively independently or as part of a team
