Prestigious International Bank based in the West End of London are looking to recruit a Trade Finance Officer to join their expanding Wholesale Banking Department. The Trade Finance activity is focusing on mid to large sized trading companies who have trade flows in line with the profile of the bank and include emerging market operations (Egypt, Turkey and South East Asian continent) where our client is competitively positioned to ascertain pricing and risk profile of the underlying trades.

Main responsibilities will include;

• Manage with internal teams (Head Office / International Offices / Back office support) and with external clients the whole process of each Trade Finance transaction until maturity. This involves all import and export related trade finance instruments.
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements for underlying transactions. I.e.: Undertake risk assessments per RMA and per transaction.
• Primary operational client service contact point for all trade related transactions.
• Primary operational client service contact point for FI related transactions.
• Assist in other areas of the Bank as and when required by the Head of Wholesale Banking
• Reporting and monitoring of trade finance exposure
• Reconciliation with HO of trade finance exposure
• Dealing with day to Day client queries

To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following relevant experience and skills;

• Strong operational understanding of Trade Finance products (LC / SBLC issuance, Export LCs (confirmation, advising, negotiation, discounting), Guarantees
• Good operational understanding of receivables discounting
• Experience of working with Commodity clients (Oil / Gas / Agri) and managing their expectations.
• Sound understanding of Trade Finance Compliance
• Excellent client servicing skills
