Job description

You will be a key member of the Change Regulatory Reporting team that takes responsibility for numerous projects. You will be a Liquidity SME and manage a small team. The team is highly motivated and use of initiative is key. The role is working for a Mid-Tier bank so you will gain a broad range of experience and be at the forefront of exciting projects.

The responsibilities are as follows:

  • Manage liquidity change, planning, testing and delivery to ensure the successful implementation of changes arising from new directives from appropriate regulatory authorities.
  • Actively maintain and develop strong relationships with senior managers and members of other departments/teams.
  • Provide key input, subject matter expertise (SME) and support into wider pan Finance initiatives e.g. Risk Assessment for New Product initiatives, Business Planning, Internal Audit and ILAA /RRP policy from a liquidity perspective.
  • Business process and regulatory requirements analysis:
    • understanding current regulatory, liquidity and capital management business processes
    • analysing new regulatory requirements and documenting key implications for reporting, management and controls framework
    • where appropriate, to develop/prototype new tactical processes and models
    • identify cost effective solutions to problems/issues identified and being able to work with the BAU team to justify any recommendations
    • specify clear and precise requirements of the process and system improvements
    • contribute to strengthening control processes; this will include objectively reviewing existing processes and assisting the reporting managers producing relevant MI to appropriately prioritise new initiatives
    • identifying key steps or whole processes that could be automated to improve controls and efficiency
  • Undertake the various testing tasks for regulatory reporting system solutions including vendor product and in-house development.
  • work closely with the IT team that is developing and implementing strategic and tactical solutions for the regulatory reporting team
  • Provide support for the liquidity calculation for new products.
  • As required, assist with the delivery of other relevant regulatory projects/change (internal/externally driven) and ad hoc requirements.
  • Work closely with other departments that provide data and feeds to regulatory reporting for preparing reports, to help communicate and develop solutions to data quality issues effecting RR reporting.
  • Manage, support and develop team members to aid delivery of above. Drive team development and performance measurement using objective setting and provision of regular feedback.

You will also be expected to look to increase your technical knowledge by understanding the detail of the structure and processes around the Regulatory engines and developing a detailed understanding of the European Union's prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms (as well as other relevant regulations.

To be considered you must have:

  • Be a liquidity SME
  • Investment Banking experience in either risk or regulatory
  • Banking product knowledge in bonds, equities, repos, reverse repos, swaps, options, and credit default products
  • COREP returns, preferably in a change function.
  • A good understanding of the treatment and mapping for at least one of area of reporting - LCR, ALMM, NSFR & Asset Encumbrance.

Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant.
