Typical responsibilities for Infrastructure Engineer roles include:
Designing and deploying physical and virtual infrastructure including servers, storage, and networking equipment
Managing cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Monitoring system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliability and scalability
Implementing security measures and patch management to protect infrastructure assets
Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
Collaborating with IT, development, and security teams to support new projects and upgrades
Maintaining documentation of infrastructure architecture, procedures, and changes
Ensuring compliance with IT policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Keeping up to date with emerging infrastructure technologies and best practices
